Match Schedule and details for 2018 Season
Message from the League President - 2018
Season 2018 has begun. I am excited to see the league growing from eight (8) to nine (9) teams. There have been several inquiries which we couldn’t accommodate due to the limited availability of grounds. Also, the enthusiasm within teams to kick start the 2018 season is evident from the last few captains & managers meetings. The weather isn’t great and the grounds really not at the best due to damp conditions and wet outfield but hasn’t stopped some teams from getting out there and having a few practice games under their belt.
As discussed in our pre-season meetings, we continue to strive towards improving the quality of the experience of playing with TCCC for all participants. This year we continue to work with the Toronto City Umpires and Scorers Association (http://www.tcuandsa.org ). We also will be using the CricHq app for online and live scoring. CricHq has made a huge change in how we score and provide real time information to participating teams and enthusiasts.
I would like to thank the board for their continued support, but more specifically our board secretary Dipesh Dar who has put in tireless hours chasing team rosters, setting up stuff on CricHq and enabling the tournament to kick off smoothly. Please join me in giving Dipesh a shout out for all his efforts inspite of having a busy schedule as a COO.
Looking forward to an exciting season with lots of runs, tons and off course miles of smiles along the way. In the end, it is the camaraderie that we foster matters while we enjoy the gentlemen’s game of cricket.
Have a wonderful season in 2018.
